Information You Provide to the Calculator

To generate a birth chart, you enter a birth date, time, and place. AstroVeda does not require an account, and we do not store this information on our servers - your chart is calculated and displayed directly in your browser for that session.

When you search for a birth place, the location text you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service to look up matching places and their coordinates. That request is subject to OpenStreetMap's own usage policies and privacy practices, which are independent of AstroVeda.

Cookies and Local Storage

AstroVeda uses a small amount of browser storage for essential site functions, such as remembering your cookie consent choice. On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, including those used for advertising and analytics described below. Non-essential cookies are only set if you consent to them, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data and reloading the page.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

AstroVeda may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising networks. These vendors may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may interest you.

AstroVeda is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.

Your Choices

You can control or delete cookies through your browser's settings, and you can decline non-essential cookies using our cookie banner. To opt out of personalized advertising from Google and many other ad networks, visit Google's Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page. Declining cookies may affect how ads are personalized, but the calculator itself will continue to work.

Data Security

Because birth chart calculations happen in your browser and we don't maintain user accounts or a database of personal records, there is no central store of your chart data for us to secure or for a breach to expose. Any data sent to third-party services described above is governed by those services' own security practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
